Nancy Bacon is a nonprofit educator, instructional designer, and learning strategist with over 25 years of experience designing and leading educational programs. Nancy is a leader in performance learning in the social sector, helping associations, nonprofits, and communities develop learning strategies that achieve their reach, revenue, and impact goals.
Nancy began her career in international education, leading an English as a second language (ESL) school in Boston, teaching social studies in the Philippines, and leading nonprofit fundraising and capacity building efforts alongside a community of Afro-Brazilian women in Salvador, Brazil. Nancy founded two nonprofit learning programs, including the award-winning Global Classroom at the Seattle World Affairs Council and the nonprofit learning program at the Nonprofit Association of Washington (NAWA). In 2020, Nancy co-created the Nonprofit Learning Center and the Nonprofit Radio Show podcast to ensure accessible learning for small/rural nonprofits.
Nancy currently works with a range of social sector clients as they achieve their mission through effective learning tools and experiences. Many of these relationships begin with an inventory of their “resource closet.” Adopting a “less is more” mindset can have a powerful impact on learning and revenue.
