Shannon Lockwood, CEM, CMP, DES, is the founder and CEO of Lockwood Collaborative, an events and experience consulting firm specializing in the production of corporate and association conferences, special events, and trade shows.
Prior to starting Lockwood Collaborative in 2021, Shannon served in a variety of roles in the meetings and events industry, working as an association meeting planner, a national account manager for Hargrove, Inc., and a facility event manager. Shannon’s expertise spans in-person, virtual, and hybrid event production, and covers the entire event lifecycle, including project management, venue and vendor management, sponsor and exhibitor management, AV production, and speaker management.
Shannon graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, the Public Honors College, with a degree in Economics and a minor in Political Science. Shannon’s certifications include IAEE’s Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM), the Event Industry Council’s Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), and PCMA’s Digital Event Strategist (DES).
When Shannon is not meticulously reviewing production schedules and spreadsheets, she can be found racing sailboats, traveling across the country, or testing out new recipes on her dinner guests.
