Making Measurement Easier: Simple Solutions for Evaluating Your Learning Programs
A Session by Alaina Szlachta (Founder, By Design Development Solutions)
About this Session
Many learning business professionals are unsatisfied with their approach to measuring and evaluating learning impact. Too often, we rely on familiar measurement methods to give us our evaluation playbook. However, there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to program evaluation.
Instead of trying to apply a measurement framework to our program, we instead should create a simple hypothesis of what our program will do for participants and for their employer and/or community. This impact hypothesis can more easily guide our strategy and tactics for program evaluation. This hypothesis can also help us understand which measurement model or framework might be best suited for our desired goals.
Using experiential and case study methods, this session will help you create a simple roadmap of what you are doing and why. With a clear strategy, we can design learning appropriately for the intended change and outcomes, and we can more easily evaluate our effectiveness.
